Counterchange Smocking

Counterchange is a quick and convenient form of traditional smocking that does not require you to pleat the fabric beforehand. This is the technique you’ll remember seeing on great-grandmother’s gingham apron. Teresa will instruct you on how to use this method for smocking both striped and gingham fabrics.

Shading: An Introduction

Swing Time Baby Quilt

Swing Time in the Spring Time! This adorable 1930s style pattern will help you learn both needle turn appliqué, embroidery stitches and quilting. The first class covers appliqué and embroidery, while the second has you hand quilting your project. Mary discusses different battings, needles, thimbles, stencils and more!

The Chinese have their thousand year old eggs and we have Teresa’s English smocked version! Using English smocking stitches to create this lasting work of art, you’ll want to pass this down for just as many years! Basic smocking skills are needed to complete this class.
