During class you will create a notebook of techniques and a stitch dictionary of threads and satin stitches. Stabilizers, needles, and the characteristic of different threads will be discussed as you practice satin stitch, blanket stitch and blind hem appliqué techniques. Everything you learn will combine into a small project which can later be turned into a pillow or a wall hanging. |

Learn to make one of Marge’s prize-winning scrap quilts. You’ll end up with the scrappiest quilt possible as a “cutting bee” is part of the class. You’ll also learn Marge’s secret for getting all the triangles to match and tips to help you make color come to life in your scrap quilt. Directions for the “cutting bee” will be given to you with the supply list. This is a terrific way to use up all those fat quarters in your sewing room. |

Mary is a master when it comes to the 200-year-old art of Hand Quilting. She instructs her students in the basics while helping them develop their own quilting style. As you work on your project, Mary discusses the tools of the craft, stencils, needles, thimbles, batting and more. You’ll discover that hand quilting is a great stress-reliever. |
